To start our project we were given the phrase "Music/Filesharing" which is a very broad, but also quite limiting subject. We decided to each focus on a single aspect each which gave us a very broad spectrum of analysis. In order to tie everything together we had a specific 5 question survey meant to determine whether illegal downloading was a legal or moral issue. We asked if the subject had ever illegally downloaded a movie or music track and if the legality or morality and increased chance of computer virus infection bothered them more. It was about 60-40 that were more worried about their integrity or the integrity of their computers. Each of us set up a short survey about our own aspects of the project and gave them to the twenty people we surveyed. We chose to do a powerpoint for our presentation because it gave us a very strict script of when and who would talk and about what. It is much easier to present with a plan.
Our project deals with the legalities and moralities of copyright law primarily dealing with music.
