Student Performance Dataset

This dataset, owned by Mr. Rabie El Kharoua reveals comprehensive information on nearly 2,400 high school students, containing their demographics and detailing studying habits, academic performance (judged by grade point averages), parental involvement as well as any extracurriculars. With this dataset, its main target is to provide predictions for certain student performances and provide insight into why a student may be excelling or failing, yet the dataset also fails to provide a clear picture of individual student’s situations, even scaling one’s parent’s involvement on a subjective scale of 0-4 and failing to explore other possible demographics that affect a student’s academic performance.

Short Summary

In this dataset, originally created by Mr. Rabie El Kharoua details the demographics (studying habits, parental involvement, extracurricular activities) of 2,392 high school students to categorize students’ grades into classifications that provide predictive modeling and statistical analysis. However, this dataset fails to consider other various demographics that impact one’s academic performance and use generalized scales with subjective data.
