Who is Anonymous? What does Anonymous do? How do they impact us on a daily basis? These are the questions that we asked as we researched the Hacktivist group known as Anonymous. Our main question was how does this group influence regular people on a day-to-day basis? How can this group of people make an impact in our society through hacking? We believed that Anonymous was truly astounding because of the fact that they are able to influence the physical world through virtual operations. During our research we found that Anonymous is has no formal leader for any one task. We also found out that they could be anyone making it almost impossible to truly pinpoint a specific demographic. Anonymous uses social media to let people know about the causes that they stand for without media bias. Finally we found that Anonymous has a huge impact on our thoughts and feelings towards online censorship and anonymity online. For our presentation we created a PowerPoint to accurately show our findings as well as a movie that dramatizes the life of a fake anonymous member.
