Our mission, with this project, is to inform the general public of their rights in regards to the personal privacy of one's electronic devices including cell phones, computers, GPS, etc.  We also hope to address unanswered questions in regards to a citizen's rights to record their encounter with a police officer.  Additionally, our webstie aims to shine light on the ever occuring issue of polic misconduct by providing a mouth piece for the general public to share their encounters and concerns.  By spreading awareness of each citizen's rights, we hope to help Oregonians Keep Peace With The Police.

We have six different tabs (two with sub tabs) on our website that all serve different purposes.  The home page has our mission statement which shows users why we made this webstie and what our group's aspirations are.  The second tabe we have is a discussion board, which is for anonymous users to communicate and voice their concersn with other people interested in learning their rights and fighting to stop police brutality.  The third tab provides information on the federal and state laws (or precedents) for electronic property rights.  The fourth tab we have provides information on federal and state recording laws.  Our fifth tab provides for users on how to behave during a police encounter including two instructional videos on how to flex your rights during any kind of police encounter.  The sixth tab provides videos of examples of police misconduct in order to create awareness of the issue.

Short Summary

With our project, we made a website template to inform citizens of their rights and to create awareness of the ever occurring epidemic of police misconduct. This website also served as a place where users could discuss previous encounters with the police and post videos of officers carrying out their public duties.
